unarmed hands

free the birds
be a pal.
it ain't here
yet i feel nostalgia for now
thunder wonder darkness & light.
be a good sport
free the birds
then burn the cage.
computer silences
tales & teases fashioned 4 hours
in plumed ink.

i am in burma

where there are no laptops
the beach here has no waves
wisps of chepos whisper
post post post haste
no camera eye captures pomade trees
no soothing torrential breeze
half off say all store windows
go home plead doorguyz
dark at night
deserted all day
please do excuse black & white.

staring space

what eye most desires
is a cradle 4 staring
unencumbered by glarings
& preachings of choirs.
lofts infested w/ criminals
yet off limits 2 cops
widescreen safe 4 cyclops
pg13 subliminal.
catch a drift get the point
so much more 2 be spied
with no laws 2 abide
nor heathens 2 annoint.

ulysses tx

what poverty such nerve what taste
highbrow & lowborn were erased.
greed led us 2 bursting of guts
from bk lounge & pizza hutz.
we once in youth fasted as monk
our lashes cinched & corneas shrunk.
this world appeared as passing sweeter
without trips 2 the bottomfeeder.
stick people & bad livers shared
the bill w/punxx drunk & longhaired.
when record stores still lined the drag
homeless dudes puppy tails did wag
enticing tosses of spare dimes
inseminating future rhymes.
who knew that age would fade from us
quick as the last i.f. schoolbus.

ode 2 july

betwixt summer comes dread again.
vampire birds grind our medicine.
more era than collected weeks
july fashions her songs on beaks.
blasphemed & blessed this month at once
is unsung & real as incense.
bears tempt alike the gal & dude
w/river tea & forest food .
resist the urge to press restart
4 memory is the brain of heart.
restring thine ax- yes -make haste honey
october days ain't half this sunny.
